75 years of the Ute Stampede

So another tradition that is in good old Nephi is the Ute Stampede Rodeo. It's a lot of fun and goes on for 3 days. The first day is the horse parade. And we watch all of the horses go down main street. Sometimes they throw candy but not all the time. Then after the parade is the rodeo. We went to the rodeo that day. My sister watched Zoey and we got to enjoy the rodeo with Tyler. He was really cute. He would laugh, dance, and hoop and holler for the guys to do a good job. Tyler liked the Wild Child. It's this guy that does stunts on a motorcycle. It was cool.

The second day is the Mammoth Parade and this is the big parade that they throw LOTS of candy and it goes on for like 2 hours! The kids loved this one of course. I like watching the drill team dance and the bands come through. It's fun. Then it's the rodeo. We stayed home and watched Linsey's little girl Megan.
The last day is the bathing beauty parade. We never go to this one. I think it's stupid watching girls in their bathing suits. No thank you. It's dumb. Then it's the rodeo. We went to the rodeo this night too with just Tyler again. We only stayed for half of it cause I wasn't feeling to well.

So that's that. I love Nephi and all the summer traditions they have going on! It's a good little town. Everyone is friendly and says hello even if they don't know who you are. It's a fun place to live.

July 4th

So as a tradition for the fourth we go to the city park and enjoy all of the festivities it has to offer. The kids played in these blow up jumping things and they loved it!

Then we took them on the swings. Zoey of course would have nothing to do with this, but Tyler sure did enjoy it. Then of course they played games to earn tickets to redeem for prizes. They had a lot of fun. Brindy and Lydia met us at the park and we got to enjoy the rest of the day with them! It was lots of fun!

Most of all I think the kids enjoyed playing in the water and the mud the best!! Out of all the things there this was their favorite. Later that night we went to my mom's house for dinner and waited for the fireworks unfortunately the weather had other ideas and we got rained out! But the lightning was good and Gary's fireworks (the neighbors) were just as good as the ones would have been at the school. So I would have to say that our Independence Day was a pretty good one!
