An Ode To Linsey

I love my family. I love both of my sisters. I love my brother. They all have had an impact on my life one way or another. Today though I would like to make a special tribute to my sister Linsey.

Linsey and I are close in age. In school she was 2 grades ahead of me so we went to High School together. Her friends were my friends, and my friends were her friends. So we were always together. She would tell me things that she wouldn't tell anyone else. We would be so silly that we would drive my mom nuts! She would get upset at us because we would just giggle. We would giggle for no reason. We both had rooms downstairs. They were right next to each other. I remember one night, it was the last night of summer, and the next day we would have to get up and go to school. So we were listening to music in her room and we were laughing and being silly. We decided that we wanted to have a sleepover so I went upstairs and asked my mom if I could sleep in Linsey's room for a sleepover. She looked at me like I was nuts but said yes. We had a great night. We had to share a bathroom downstairs, but there would be times when I was all ready for the day and she wanted me to sit with her and talk with her while she would do her hair and get ready. It was little things like that, that we did together all the time. She was my best friend.

She protected me from dangers and was there for me when boys were being jerks, or when my friends decided that they didn't like me anymore. We were like twins. I love her. I wish she lived closer so we can be silly together. So we can watch movies, and play games. I miss her.

This week for some reason I have been thinking about her a lot and that is why I made this Tribute. Linsey I love you, and I'm glad that you are my sister. Thank you for all the things you have done for me, and for the better person you make me.

Best Buds

So Tyler and his cousin Kyle go together like "peas and carrots." Everytime my sister comes up for the weekend Tyler wants to have a sleepover. He wants to do everything with Kyle. The last time they came up Tyler and Kyle spent the whole day together. Justin was doing yard work and they were playing together.

Well they started to get bored so we put the sprinkler under the tramp and they played in the water for like an hour. Justin thought it looked like fun so he joined in. I love it when my sister Linsey comes to visit. So Tyler and Kyle are best buds, and they kind of look alike too. It's always a treat when Kyle comes to play.

"Zoey, I'm Sorry"

So I have to say I've got some pretty cute kids. Yes at times they both drive me crazy! (I'm surprised I haven't turned gray yet) This is just one story that I think makes them both pretty cute.
Well, we all know how wild Tyler can be. He loves to have fun but he can go overboard sometimes. So he is always saying, "Zoey, I'm sorry." Then they both go about playing and 5 minutes later he's saying the same thing.

You can only imagine what is going through Zoey's mind at this point. (Zoey, I'm sorry, Zoey I'm sorry..........) The poor thing took it literally. To Zoey Tyler's name is Sorry.
She will walk around the house "Where's Sorry?" We say our prayers and she says, "Bless Sorry." For the longest time I didn't know what she was talking about until we were sitting at the table and she was naming everyone around the table. "Daddy, Mommy, Zoey, Sorry." I pointed at Tyler and said, "Who's this?" She says, "Sorry." We all laughed for the longest time. Then I realized this whole time she thinks Tyler's name is Sorry. What would you think if someone kept saying I'm Sorry? (like an introduction)

Kids sure do say the darndest things!!
