FLOUR Power!

The last couple weeks in December and the first week into January I was having really bad contractions! So I went to the Dr. and my blood pressure was high and the babies heart rate was 180. So they wanted to do a couple of test. They took a urine sample, gave me an ultra sound to see if the baby was ok, and give me an IV of fluids cause I was a little dehydrated. I was there for a total of 5 1/2 hrs! The dr finally came in to see me and he told me I had a bladder infection. He wanted me on anitbiotics for a week and to come back the following week. I was hurting and the whole weekend wasn't fun. I didn't realize how painful a bladder infection was. When Sunday came around I stayed home so I could get some rest and it hurt to bend over. I HATE missing church. Even as a kid growing up I never missed church even if I was sick. So I slept for like 2 hrs. Then I decided that I felt good enough to cook dinner. Justin forgot to get the roaster down from the pantry, I thought no problem I can get it. I stood on the flour bin and fell right through! Both feet! The bucket started to tip so I got one foot out to keep my balance but that didn't work. I hit my head on the doorframe and plopped on my butt in the hall while my other foot was jammed in the bin. I tried getting out but sitting up while you're prego on the ground is hard. I didn't have my phone by me so I couldn't call my mom, and the door blocked the clock so I didn't know what time the fam would be coming home from church. So instead of sitting I layed down. For those of you who have seen Money Pit I was reminded of the scene where Tom Hanks got stuck in the hole in floor with the rug all around him. He was there for a while so he started the "Name Game." I started to laugh to myself and was about to start playing the game too until Tyler comes running through the door. He saw me and asked if I was ok. Justin came in and saw me lying there. He thought I was joking cause he couldn't see my leg in the flour until he opened the door wide. He was concerned, so he helped me up and both the kids busted up laughing. Justin got mad and said, "This isn't a laughing matter." I looked at him and said, "Yes it is!" We all started laughing. He didn't help me out of the flour cause he had to grab the camera. So this was the result..........

The lesson I learned: Not to stand on flour buckets!

This is so funny. That was immediately what I thought too. Live and learn. Glad you didn't get hurt though.

LOL, thanks for sharing. I'm glad everything turned out ok and you didn't go into labor or anything like that. I hope you'll be quick to post after that little one comes.
